You can get help.

In this section, you will find:

  • Topeka Public Schools counselor, social worker and psychologist listings
  • Searchable list of helpful community agencies
  • Links to informative and helpful web sites

You can find the names and contact information for the USD 501 counselors, social workers, and psychologists. During the school day contact the one who is assigned to your school, and that person will try to respond to your questions and concerns and can refer you to good community or school resources. Further, an easily used database is included that provides contact information of agencies available in the Shawnee County area.

If you need to speak directly to a counselor on a non-school day, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or the National Hopeline Network at 1-800-SUICIDE (784-2433). A trained person will respond right away. These phone lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, holidays and weekends. If for any reason you feel the need to speak to someone immediately, call one of those numbers.
